The Shore Chapter of the New Jersey Association for the Education of Young Children

Located in Monmouth County, New Jersey, our group is dedicated to improving the lives of young children. Our members are early childhood professionals, students and community members. Our mission is to serve and act on behalf of the needs, rights, and well being of all young children in Monmouth County and their families, with a special emphasis on providing our members with appropriate education and resources to improve the quality of care for all young children.

NJAEYC Shore Chapter values:

Our parent organization, The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), was founded in 1926. It is the world's largest organization working on behalf of young children, with nearly 80,000 members, a national network of over 300 local, state, and regional Affiliates, and a growing global alliance of like-minded organizations. The New Jersey affiliate (NJAEYC) has over 4,000 members, and provides resources and professional development opportunites, and is a leading voice in advocating for the needs of young children at the state level.

Joining our national organization automatically includes membership in our state and local chapters, providing you with many opportunities for professional development, conferences, workshops and training, and networking. Also included are subscriptions to our Shore Chapter newsletter as well as the National Association (NAEYC) journal Young Children.
